The Schlosshotel Mailberg is situated slightly above Mailberg, a wine-growing village in the Weinviertel region in Lower Austria, near the well-known wine-growing area of Retz, Poysdorf and Hollabrunn as well as the old royal city Znajm in Czech Republic , the marvellous nature of the Pulkau- and Thayatal valleys, a few of the most beautiful golf courses of Austria, as well as the hot springs & spa resort Laa an der Thaya. The Schloss Hotel Mailberg offers its guests nine spacious double rooms and twelve elegant suites and apartments. All of these room types were renovated in the course of the last few years, equipped with wooden and stone floors and comfortable furniture and thus offer the comfort of a modern hotel with a historical ambiance . From the hotel rooms and suites the visitors have a view of the castle garden (Schlossgarten), the historical cellar lanes and the vineyards of Mailberg. Since 1146 the estate belongs to the 'property of the 'Sovereign Order of Malta'. The castle houses the parish church of Mailberg, a large vinotheque and a restaurant in the inner courtyard. According to the tradition of the castle all rooms are equiped individually and luxuriant. Selected furniture, fine materials and noble antiques offers the comfort of a 4 star hotel.
