In the historic heart of Santiago de Compostela stands Moure Hotel, a singular establishment set apart from the traditional concepts of interior design so as to project a more sophisticated, avant-garde image and architecture. The aim is to show a firm commitment to contrasts, offering a touch of contemporary culture ensconced in the ancient stone of the historic city of Santiago. In its past as a student hostel, the building saw generation after generation of students graduate in Compostela. Later, the Liñares-Bar family, hoteliers since 1974, decided to dedicated themselves to a renovation project that would become noteworthy for its craftsmanship and innovation. Inside the rooms, clean lines and sleek, designer furnishings captivate the eye. Light, design and comfort join forces to create practical, modern spaces, where whites, blacks and greys predominate, all of which is capped off with warm shades of wood and touches of pistachio green. These are among the many features that make Moure a singular, avant-garde hotel where the concept of space differs dramatically from what one might expect in a more traditional hotel. This profusion of creativity and design has produced unique spaces. Examples of this include the designer bathtub that awaits guests on the outdoor patio of one of rooms, the bathtub situated in the gallery of another room where superb views of the city may be privately enjoyed, or the sloped-ceiling, attic bedroom furnished with a contemporary-style, canopy bed along with an adjoining roomy bathtub.
