El Turcal hotel was originally a 19th century barn for drying peppers and "tinadas", the refurbishment is striking dictated by the local materials available and the traditional building techniques. No set "style" was adhered to. The overriding feel of this small charming hotel in Caceres, is one of spaciousness and light achieved by the open plan spaces and large windows. In the interior the terracotta tiled floors fit perfectly with the stone walls, in harmony with an interior design which alternates timber, wrought iron, modern fabrics, comfortable sofas and two fireplaces. Discrete ornaments, aroma of mimosa or logan berries, pineapples and pumpkins and candles which add colour and aroma. There is also a patio with a zen design pond and a garden.
