In 1373 D. Diego López de Haro who was born in this town and a wors hipper of the order, founded this convent in a house that he owned outside the town. The Agustinos lived in the convent such as it was until 1834. Since 1803 It had also been a charitable home. In more recent years this building has been used as a school, hospital and jail. The columns that support its important cloister still bear the inscriptions made by prisioners in their cells. Now, its walls steeped in history play host to exceptionally comfortable facilities, where it is an extraordinary privilege to stay.
