Monchiero Alto exudes a particular atmosphere: a journey back in the time of the Eighteenth century, when pilgrims reached the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Rosario, finding refuge in the adjacent presbytery. Located on a hilltop overlooking the Tanaro valley, surrounded by vineyards of Nebbiolo and Dolcetto, the Borgo preserves intact its ancient charm: the sanctuary, the little church; and the home of Eso Peluzzi, the poet and painter born in Cairo Montenotte, famous for his portraits and his landscapes of Piedmont and Liguria. The Antico Borgo Monchiero has 17 rooms: 2 Superior Suites, 4 Junior Suites, 3 Deluxe Double Rooms, 4 Classic Double Rooms, 1 Superior Single Room and 3 Single Rooms.
