This splendid hotel is in the picturesque little hamlet of Villa, about 2 km from Isola d’Asti, in a peaceful, sunny location above the vineyards of Monferrat. This former manor house, completely and thoughtfully restored by a Swiss hotelier between 1998 and 2000, dates from the 17th century. The ruler of Asti at the time, the Marquis de Nazza, built this magnificent nobleman’s residence up above Isola, in baroque style with lots of frescoes. It was used by the governor for his administrative and legal work in the region of Isola. As well as the hotel bedrooms, guests also have the use of the country-style restaurant with a walk-in wine cellar, both with the vaulted brick ceilings typical of the region, a comfortable lounge and a separate sitting-room with an open fire and a library. However, for virtually the whole year, you will probably prefer to sit on the beautiful sunny terrace with its amazing views. Enjoy the warmth of the sun in the secluded garden or the heated swimming pool (12 x 6 m), well-supplied with deck-chairs and sun-shades. The hotel has its own parking spaces and pets are allowed (in two rooms by prior arrangement). Free Internet access via Wireless LAN.
