Business hours of reception: from 07:00 a.m. to 02:00 a.m. The family-run three-star Hotel Gabbiano in Sardinia's Sassari province is situated on the tiny Isola Rossa, which lies just off the coast of Trinita d'Agultu in the spectacular Golfo d'Asinara. It stands on the seashore, just 50 m from the sea in a popular area renowned for its natural beauty. There are 17 light, airy guest rooms here, with a choice between double and twin-bedded rooms and cots are provided for families with young babies. All rooms have private en-suite bathroom facilities with shower and a set of complimentary toiletries is provided. Rooms are equipped with direct-dial telephone, satellite television and individually controlled air conditioning. There is also a welcoming bar with an extensive menu of cocktails, coffee and alcoholic drinks. The family also manages the hotel restaurant, which can be found in an adjoining annex. Here, guests can try a variety of traditional Sardinian dishes including freshly caught, local fish. Furthermore, the hotel has a large television lounge and a quiet sitting room close to the reception lobby. There is also plenty to do here such as water sports and outdoor activities. Guests can rent boats, either with or without crew, for excursions along the coast.
