Horizon Beach Hotel is located in Plakias Rethymno, Crete Just 400m west from centre of Plakias the Horizon Beach Hotel, set by the sea enjoys splendidly open views across the bay. Right below is a sand and shingle beach, with clear water, where you can swim. As well as having glorious sea views, the Horizon beach enjoys a very peaceful position, nevertheless shops and taverns are within easy reach on foot and the main beach is a 10 minutes walk away. It is also a good place for those who enjoy walking, near or longer distances in the typical Cretan countryside with wild flowers and olive trees. Next to the hotel is a very new, modern apartment block with a fantastic view over the sea. There is an apartment on the upper floor of two rooms about 50 square metres with two big balconies for 2 - 5 people. On the first floor is a studio for 3 people with a very big balcony and next to the studio is a triple room with a very big balcony and a large veranda. All have air-conditioning and they are open all over the winter. The hotel is light and airy and the twin and double bedrooms, all of which have a private sea facing balcony and polished stone floors, are comfortably but simply furnished and have their own shower room (or bathroom, direct telephone, refrigerator, air condition (available) and safe box).

Kalypso Cretan Village Resort & Spa is a 4-star resort hotel and it is the southernmost hotel of Europe, on the Karavos Coast, 31 km south of Rethymnon and 115 km of Heraklion Airport. Karavos Coast is a natural park, where vertical suspended rocks, insulate a private strategic place to observe the middle of Mediterranean sea, and form a fiord in the sea, a starting place for quick visits, where 300 years ago was a landmark of Pirates. In this natural and social environment, the visitors of the Kalypso Cretan Village Resort & Spa can stay as long they want, as the modern establishments in combination with some special programs could make them feel different vivid thoughts and senses. In respect to nature, the hotel has only 125 bungalows, all according to the local architecture, up to 35 m² each, with modern facilities and all with sea view balcony or terrace. In the natural park "Karavos Coast" (inside the hotel installations) three outdoor pools (500m², 160m², 110m² each and an indoor heated pool with Jacuzzi all with sea water, create a cool surround with enjoyable games. At the Pirates port our clients could enjoy safely the sea sports and especially diving , which operates according to the specifications of PADI. Within this proper atmosphere and in a paradisiac nature, starting some times from Kalypso and walking across to small rivers and paths, the hotel direction organizes with experienced guides, excursions, nice walks, bicycle tours and climbing around the area. A professional animation team organizes the entertainment of our clients and at the open-air Ancient Greek Theatre with the impressive atmosphere, they can enjoy the various performances and the animation shows.
