The Castle hotel has recently been completly renovated and refurbished by us - we are a small, family run business called "Taste Inn Wales". For centuries the Castle has been at the heart of the thriving historic town of Llandovery, Camarthenshire, on the western fringes of the Brecon Beacons National Park. It has always been a place for travellers and visitors to rest, to replenish and recharge their batteries. It is still today. Probably more important than ever, we all need a place to unwind and remember the things that matter. We subscribe totally to the good old-fashioned concept of a Welsh Country Inn. A warm and friendly place to unwind, you'll find a proper traditional bar, roaring fire to toast your toes and plenty of comfy sofas in which to lose yourself with a good book. The original rustic charm and character is still there, but we've added a few modern fresh ideas. We love food. If you do, you'll like it here. We guarentee you will enjoy some seriously good cooking by our talented kitchen team. Those tempting aromas wafting through the building are likely to be from our Josper charcoal oven (A very cleaver indoor BBQ and chargrill) the ultimate way of expressing our philosphy - keep it real, honest and simple.
