The Bull dates back to 1688, situated along the old London to Oxford road, at a time when it was one of the principal coaching routes in England. Whilst we have come a long way from our roots as a coaching inn, we remain true to the traditional values of a warm welcome. The hotel boasts an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest frontage of any coaching tavern in England, which remains largely as it was in 1688. Several improvements have been made to the interior over the years, whilst the facilities are modern; the décor is sympathetic to the original building. Leather Chesterfield sofas blend perfectly with beamed ceilings, ensuring the hotel retains its old world atmosphere and charm.
