The hotel inn to the Gockl is since 17th September, 1957 in the family estate. At that time one knew the 'Gockl' simply as a big beer garden, a holiday restaurant with butcher's shop. However, the popular home meeting place should become, according to the idea of Emmi Rottenkolber and your husband Benedikt late in the meantime, more than this. In 1967, to the 10-year-old jubilee, family Rottenkolber put into action her idea: After check of the structural fabric the old house without cellar was torn off without further ado. With the help of an architect of Löwenbräu an absolutely new house with restaurant and 45 beds awoken after one year of building site to the life. The hotel age in the 'Gockl' began! The 'Gockl' is to be imagined as not existing since then no more in Unterföhring and one after the gates Unterföhrings the known institution which is also estimated by the guests of the restaurant, like from the numerous businessmen who enjoy the comfort of the hotel. The visitors' book is something to be proud of: Thus known personalities like Roberto Blanco, Maria Callas or Tony Marshall to call only some gave her rendezvous in this traditional house. Unfortunately, Emmi Rottenkolber passed away in May, 2008. As a result their son Wolfgang and his Mrs. Evi Rottenkolber took over the family company. Because of commercial task and for personnel reasons the family Rottenkolber has closed the restaurant company at the end of August, 2011 for good. The hotel company is continued as ' hotel Garni to the Gockl' naturally in usual way. Family Rottenkolber and her team thanks all guests for her long-standing loyalty and would be glad to be allowed to greet you furthermore as guests!
