Our hotel "Gruene Tanne", Mandelholz, has been founded and run by my family for more than a hundred years. Given the experience that comes along with such a long-standing tradition my employees and I are most proficient ensuring a high gastronomic standard in order to preserve a place of cordial hospitality and unique ambiance. Our guests will find Mandelholz one the most comfortable accommodations in this altitude of the Harz mountains - not least for the natural amenities of the surrounding countryside which is worth exploring in every season of the year: hiking through the Harz forests, climbing the Brocken as Heine and Goethe did, taking a bath in the Mandelholz reservoir and skiing on the cross-country ski runs are just a few of the numerous favourable outdoor activities our region is suitable for. In addition we offer our guests to frequent the hotel's own wellness house to enjoy soothing massages, sauna and cosmetic treatments. Furthermore our restaurant invites our guests to try some of the delicacies of our local cuisine and provides a great range of homemade cakes and pies. Lastly I would like to draw your attention to the cultural events taking place regularly in our house: e.g. cabaret, revue and chamber music.
