Our Hotel “Zum Handtuch” (towel) owes its name to the slender shape of the house. You will not only stay in a listed building but also in the narrowest house of Bautzen. Despite that, the modern rooms leave no wish unfulfilled and you’ll enjoy a beautiful view of the center of Bautzen and its landmarks. Our bright, spacious rooms have satellite TV, a private bathroom and a small kitchen cupboard. Due to its location right on the main market, it is the ideal starting point to explore the Old Town, the River Spree is just 5 minutes away.After a walk you can relax in our small bistro where we pour a beer from a small brewery in Bautzen, offer various soups and stews and serve mustard-specialties. The rooms (one on each floor) are reached by a wooden winding staircase. You can have breakfast in a bakery just 10 meters around the corner. The majority of Bautzen’s restaurants is also within a few minutes. Our rooms are all Nonsmoking room, you can bring your pet for a small fee and we offer free wi-fi throughout the house.By paying at check-in, your check-out is quick and easy, just have a nice morning. If you have to check-in after 6 PM please contact us by phone. To park, you can use the public parking in the center or the two tourist parking as there is no private hotel parking available.
