Complete with log fires, local ales, proper home made country fayre, comfortable accommodation and the recumbant family Labarador! The family service you can expect at the Fauonberg offers a refreshing relief to the modern corporate hotel. Landlord Simon heads up the kitchen team and offers daily specials from around the globe along with the staple components of a true British pub menu. Steak and kidney pie, beer batter fish and chips, ham and eggs and always an interesting vegetarian option. The accommodation is very comfortable with a number of spacious rooms despite the 17th century origins of the building. All our rooms are individually named (no numbers here) after favourite family haunts with the exception of our four poster room 'Belasyse' named after the original title of the Inn the Belasyse Arms. The Fauconberg has been offering hospitality to the weary traveller for over 300 years and in modern times has won a number of awards including 'the Visit Britain's Great British Breakfast Award and the North Yorkshire Moors and Coast Pub of the Year Award.
