It is sometimes called ‘the roof of Europe’ as three rivers, which flow into three seas – The North Sea, The Baltic and Black Sea, all rise here. The location was pronounced a national nature reservation in 1990. There is a well-known statue of an elephant, raised on a ceramic pylon. Jeseník is famous as a spa town, and proud that it was here that the first currative spa was founded – by Vincenz Priessnitz. Another interesting place is the Kolonáda, a 1,160m circuit where races and other competitions are held from time to time. The greatest attraction is the lion statue, which legend clames will grant a wish if you touch its tail. Another monument is the house where Vincent Priessnitz was born.
