We invite you to to one of the earliest homes built 1937 against Northcliff Hill. This unique, historical and architectural gem of Northcliff has been restored with passion and respect for the comfort and entertainment of guests in mind. The Manor was designed by the acclaimed architect W. B. Pabst. Bernard Pabst was the carrier of the German Expressionism - 1920' Berlin - to South Africa. His architectural designs were quite distinctive, unconventunal irregular and asymmetrical. The Manor was built as a wedding gift for Ms. Helen Suzzman, a well known anti -apartheid politician. She was the Progressive Party's only representative for 13 years in a hostile, Afrikaans and male dominated Parliament. During her lifetime, she was nominated twice for the Nobel Prize for Peace, and awarded 27 honorary doctorates and made Dame Commander of the order of The British Empire. Northcliff Manor Guest House is situated against affluent Northcliff Hill amidst the Jacaranda cladded avenues and the Manor is decorated with handpicked European and South African antiques and art. The Guest House features an outdoor pool, beautifull garden, tennis court, and jacuzzi. All of Northcliff's rooms are luxuriously decorated and each bedroom features an on-suite bathroom, air conditioning, dstv and free wi-fi. Free of street parking is also available. Breakfast is served in the impressive dining room or on the top terrace overlooking the gardenand breathtaking views of Northern Johannesburg. The cosy fire place in the lounge is a welcome sight for visitors during winter. The Guest House is 12 km. from Johannesburg Central and within easy reach of Cresta Shopping Centre, The Dome, Rosebank, Melville and Soweto.
