Our splendid aristocratic residence (from the first part of the C17th) comprising 8 apartment and is immersed in the Sienese countryside but only 10 minutes drive from the town centre. The different dimensions of the apartments cater to the personal needs of the guests.Our apartments are an ideal base for families ,business, groups of friends and young travellers. Here you will find the ideal atmosphere to enjoy Siena town of the” Palio” with its unique character known as the “Gothic Dream”. Villa Il Borghetto offers both a prestigius and intimate haven for an unforgettable stay. Villa Il Borghetto or as the structure is simply called by our family “Il Borghetto (small hamlet) is a mansion which for historic merit has a conservation order of the Italian Cultural Ministry ;in the past a convent existed here the only remains of which is a charming chapel still consecrated.First noble dwelling then religious institution and finally historic building and antique residence. Il Borghetto has had links with our family for many years until 1997 when we became sole proprietors. After a long and meticulous restoration, followed lovingly step by step by my father (he in fact was born and grew up in one of the apartments) the work saw its fruition in 2005. The Borghetto restored to its former glory, ready for the future.Bright and charming apartments drawn from rubble from weeds and vegetable plots gardens and verdant green spaces. Returned to its ancient beauty Il Borghetto welcomes couples, families and friends seeking an ideal retreat close to the heart of Siena.The apartments which can house from 2-7 persons consist of one,two, or three bedrooms, living area with bed-settee and kitchen, one or two bathrooms with bathtub or shower. The apartments are located on two floors of the main building (which is the heart of Villa il Borghetto), linked by a staircase in travertine.Where possible the wood beaming has been recuperated and all the floors are in terracotta. Il Borghetto as taken special care to detail: doors, handles, windows and furnishings have been chosen with attention and diligence.The choice of renting an apartment rather than a hotel room gives you the opportunity “to live Siena” with it’s rhythm, flavours and spaces. We are aware of this difference and we will help to make your visit to Siena unique and unforgettable.
