Casa dos Lagos is a manor house constructed at the end of the XVIII Century, which enjoys lovely countryside and calm and hospitable surroundings, and is situated in Bom Jesus do Monte – one of the most beautiful tourist sites in Portugal. The property consists of a main building with its façade in large part covered by glazed tiles created by the ceramicist, Bordalo Pinheiro. All of the bedrooms have a large veranda from which it is possible to enjoy the magnificent landscape surrounding the whole city of Braga. It is also possible to have a room with a balcony designed by Gustav Eiffel – a great friend of the then Viscount Fraião, who was an earlier owner. The interior of the house is decorated in tune with the style of the period, while benefitting simultaneously from all modern comforts. It has an open fireplace, central heating and swimming pool. A farm of four hectares complements this beautiful propriety. Breakfast is served in a parlour and always in the presence of the owner.
