In 2009, the hotel reopened after an extensive renovation, incorporating latest ecological technologies to become a “green” hotel. The Hotel offers 111 guestrooms and 4 suites covering four levels, decorated in emerald green and orange tones with dark brown furniture. In the vicinity are the ruins of the ancient Nicopolis, a city built in the 1st century by the Roman Emperor Octavian August after his triumph at the Aktion naval battle against Marc Antony and Cleopatra. The new museum of Nicopolis is nearby and further away is the Necromanteion of Acheron river, the ancient Kassopi and the famous venetian castle town of Parga. The coastal area around Preveza spreads over 60 kilometers and includes bays, gulfs, peninsulas and pine forests stretching down to sandy beaches.
