Lo Spedalicchio in the medieval ages meant small welcoming place.This ancient Fortress has been recently renovated into a hotel which now houses 25 rooms. Several of the rooms, where nobility once slept, are spacious with high vaulted ceilings and terracotta floors; some have been converted into lofts. The two side towers are supported by wooden trusses.The rooms, which are divided into superior and standard, are furnished with wooden furniture, traditional umbrian fabric and ceramics from Deruta. All are equipped with heating, air condition, bathroom with shower, telephone, TV, internet and satellite television.Lo Spedalicchio is located in the village of Spedalicchio strategically positioned between Perugia and Assisi and conveniently located near the famous historical and artistic centres in Umbria: Todi, Gubbio, Spello and Spoleto.
