A man of the arts with a collector’s eye, the Duc d’Aumale, son of King Louis Philippe, who restored the Château de Chantilly after the Revolution, owned a hunting lodge on this forested estate, where he organised the most sumptuous receptions. Now a cosy hotel, the lodge boasts classic rooms decorated by designer Stafan Lauters, complemented by a selection of more contemporary, Italian-style rooms. Under the high ceilings of the dining room, guests choose from a range of traditional dishes. The veranda affords sweeping views over the park, while the terrace is perfect for summer dining. Business hours of reception: Every day: from 00:00 to 00:00 .
