Relax in a historical environment Nya Varvet Studios is located on the mouth of Gothenburg’s harbour, right by the waters of the Göta River’s southern beach. The naval base Nya Varvet was built in the early 1700s on order of Karl XII and was a military area up until 1982. Many of the original buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries are in use today. This provides a unique historical setting, with parks and harbours, cycle- and footpaths along the water’s edge, and jetties for sailing boats and tugboats. The individual designed rooms of Nya Varvet are set in 6 different buildings.
