Immersed in one of the most suggestive lagoons of the Maldives, Gangehi Island Resort, opened in 2008, offers an exclusive experience. The island is a small paradise of lush plants and an architecture that makes extensive use of ancient and precious woods. Gangehi, is surrounded by two beaches, one, a shaped tongue of sand is famous in all Maldives because during low tide it extends to over 800 meters letting you enjoy long romantic walks. The Gangehi lagoon, is regularly visited by splendid Whale Sharks in addition of course to mantas and other tropical fish. The 23 Beach Bungalows, 16 Over Water and one Family Room offer ample space featuring a blend of antique and contemporary furnishings. The Resort has two restaurants, two bars and room service offering custom dinners. One restaurant features Italian food whilst the lagoon restaurant, offers Asian cuisine. The resort offers a Padi 5 Star Dive Center, a fitness room in addition to many water sports and excursions as well as a library and a furnished boutique. The Ginger Spa, is home to a wide range of massages as well as Ayurvedic and beauty treatments.
