Heritage Madurai is a 'resort in the city' built on 17 acres of lush green gardens, landscaped to make one forget their presence in the heart of this bustling metropolis. The hotel caters to the ardent pilgrims and the demanding corporate guest who visit Madurai to take part in the numerous temple festivals and the many events that the city plays host to. The Former British Madurai Club with the Club House designed by world renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa is now fully restored in keeping with the traditional architecture of the locality. The main club house building have all the guest outlets namely, the main restaurant The Banyan and coffee shop The Coffee Shop. Our main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on a la carte basis. The original club house has 8 Club Rooms out of which 5 are Deluxe Club Rooms and 3 are Standard Club Rooms. The 7 colonial bungalows have been restored to its former elegance with each converted to 5 villas suites with individual plunge pools and luxury amenities comprising 35 in total. The swimming pool which has been designed to replicate the Temple tank of the Thirumayam Temple is a masterpiece which is one of the major attractions within Heritance Madurai. At present we are having the 35 Luxury Villa Suites, 5 Deluxe Club and 3 Standard Club rooms are operational and Luxury Villa Suites comprise of a living area with a separate bedroom and individual plunge pools and bathrooms.
