Around the year 1200, an abbey for the Augustinian nuns was built in Wennigsen. Today, the quiet, peaceful and yet central Tagungszentrum Johanniterhaus Kloster with its old minster has been housing the centre of the Knights Hospitaller in North Germany since 1882. Accommodation comprises 35 beautiful and comfortable rooms, appointed with shower, toilet, TV, telephone, radio and internet access. Non-smoking rooms can be provided upon request.
