The palace is included in the register of the World's Cultural Heritage as a zero-category monument, under the protection of UNESCO. The hotel is actually a renaissance palace built in the 17th century and is a valuable example of renaissance architecture. The hotel was first opened in 1900, which makes it the hotel with the longest tradition in the city of Split. The hotel has 25 rooms and is ideal for both business and leisure travellers because of its location. All rooms are air-conditioned (temperature can be adjusted from the room), with private bathroom facilities and hair-dryer in each bathroom. They are also equipped with satellite TV, internet access and a direct telephone line. It is situated in the very centre of the city and is a few minutes walk from all the major attractions as well as from the main bus terminal, airport shuttle terminal, railway station and ferry.
