Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA) was completed in 27 December 1989 and was officially opened on 9 June 1996 by Prof. Dr-Ing Wardiman Djojonegoro the Minister of Education & Culture of The Republic Indonesia and ARMA is the realized dream of its founder Agung Rai. It is founded on principles that reflect his philosophy, which is one that includes an intense love for art and, even more so, for the preservation of art for the purpose of sharing it with the community. ARMA resort officially established in 1982 with 15 rooms under the name "Puri Indah" which mean Beautiful Palace. In 1995 Puri Indah change into "Kokokan Hotel". In 2002 change into "ARMA Resort" with additional 8 luxury villas. The total accomodation become 23 units. The ARMA resort was built as the fund raising for the museum. Therefore your contribution and supports highly appreciated for the art and culture preservation programme under ARMA Foundation Vision & MissionARMA is managed by ARMA Foundation and being develop to create and sustain a nurturing environment which provides for interchange between Balinese people and their culture; Balinese people and other cultures: and visitors to Bali and its culture.
