Sumahan is set in a renovated, 19th-century distillery and sits right on the shores of the Bosphorus Straight. It offers sumptuous 24 rooms with Bosphorus views and many include Turkish-style marbled bathrooms. The furnishings are contemporary, while original elements such as wood beamed ceilings or fireplaces are retained. Bathing in plenty of daylight, all units feature satellite flat-screen TVs, DVD players and free wired internet. Sumahan’s on-site wellness centre includes a traditional Turkish hammam and a fitness centre. Guests can also treat themselves to an invigorating massage. There are two restaurants in the premises. Main Restaurant , TAPASUMA serving contemporary Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine with “mezzes”. Second restaurant, Waterfront Café serving International cuisine, soups, salads, pastas and sandwiches.The daily breakfast is also served here. Hotel Sumahan - on the Water is merely 5 minutes’ walk to the Çengelköy Jetty, linking directly by ferryboat to Istanbul’s European side. It also provides free private parking.
