Hotel zum Walde is situated on a southern slope and comprises 4 buildings which are about 50 m away from one another. The hotel complex enjoys a quiet location in rural surroundings. The extensive forests of the Eifel invite you for jogging and beautiful walks. You can reach the centres of Aachen, Stolberg or Eschweiler within a short time. All 59 rooms and apartments are arranged in a rustic country house style and give the hotel its Alpine flair. The impersonality often associated with the chain hotels is replaced by the love for the detail and the warm, personal atmosphere. The hotel complex is also home to 4 conference rooms (for up to 40 people), a bistro, the cosy bar "Waldgeist", the group restaurant "Rochuskeller" and 2 bowling alleys. You can indulge in the sensations of true wellbeing in the wellness area including swimming pool, pool bistro, meditations sauna, new infrared sauna, new steam bath and adventure shower, make-up treatments (for a fee), massages (for a fee), ayurveda (for a fee), sports studio and 2 sun terraces. The bathrooms of the rooms category "Landromantik Double Room" and "Single Room with terrace" have been renovated by the beginning of 2012 in extraordinary forest design with rain shower and pebbled walls. Please note that the bathrooms in room type "Small Double Room" (3 star standard) have not been renovated yet! The hotel is a great base for an away-from-it-all holiday in immediate proximity to the forest, ideal for holidaymakers, business travellers and conference participants.
