Business hours of reception: 24 hours At the southern coast of Madeira, east of the capital Funchal, in one of the most beautiful regions of the island, our wonderful holiday resort "Caniço de Baixo" came into being. The “Hotel Tropical” is situated in a quiet position above the cliffs. The hotel consists of two building parts: One complex with 5 floors and the other one with 6 floors (lift only from 3rd to 5th floor). It disposes of 65 spacious and elegantly furnished rooms which are equipped with bath/WC, hair dryer, direct dial telephone, satellite television and much more. All rooms provide either balcony or terrace. The hotel-owned restaurant “Tropical" was built on a plateau on the top of the steep coast and offers room for 70 guests for the breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner which will be served "a la carte". Our 2 terraces and the little garden offer a wonderful view on the Atlantic Ocean. At hotel bar “Tropical”, there are a variety of cocktails available and on several days we offer an entertaining animation program. For those who are interessted in diving, the popular under water nature-sanctuary “Garajau” is situated in front of our hotel.
