Our Hotel Jägerklause is located on the fringe of the old romantic town of Schmalkalden. Framed by rolling hills and beautiful forests, this area invites you to be active. The building was constructed in 1910 and was known as the café "Kaffee Koch". It has been the property of the family Jäger since 1975. During the course of time it has, due to various remodelling phases and extensions to the building, it became the hotel it is today. The rooms are equipped with bathroom, showe, WC, TV and phone. The hotel offers different guest areas. You will find the large, rustic restaurant which seats up to 100 persons, the “Zirbelstube”, the winter garden with a beech wood grill and a beer garden for relaxing summer evenings. Our kitchen puts great emphasis on the freshness of its products so you can be sure that every meal, including our Thuringian specialties, are always prepared with great love and care.
