Welcome to Matala Crete - the place of spectacular sunsets, a small fishing village where the caves became a paradise for the "hippies" in the 70's. The hippies are missing, but Matala’s magic still flows and the village has been spruced up - well done! We are very excited for having the opportunity to guide you in Matala Crete, Greece and in our hotel. We believe that Matala is one of the most beautiful places on Earth, and we are really happy to be here. We speak Greek, English and also understand a little German. The best part of our job is the opportunity to meet people from many different countries. We often organize "International" nights where people cook something traditional from their home country and we share it all together with good wine and a lot of fun. For all of you planning your next vacation to the magical place of Matala, Matala Dimitris Hotel is waiting to accommodate you for one of the most enjoyable holidays of your life, through a family and friendly environment. The hotel is situated just 200m from Matala beach in a place surrounded by trees and greenery, making it an ideal place for a relaxing vacation! The hotel has 15 A' class rooms, all of them equipped with: Bathroom, balcony, air-condition, heating, fridge, satellite TV, swimming-pool for adults and pool for children, safe-box, telephone. In our tavern, near the pool and surrounded by flowers, you can enjoy your breakfast or a delicious traditional Cretan lunch. As we keep our sight into offering the highest quality possible, all meat offered in our tavern is of local Cretan production of the highest standards only! There are two swimming pools with sweet water, one for adults and one for children, and a big terrace with sun chairs and sun shades free of charge for our guests. Also, we offer Internet access for reading and sending e-mails for all of you interested. There is also the possibility to organize excursions all over the island with air-conditioned busses or even by renting a car through our rent a car service at the best prices. Hospitality in Greek language treasures as one of the most precious values and inheritance we got from our ancient Greek roots and the Cretan culture.
