The Le Grand Hotel de l’Abbey was built on the banks of the River Loire in the 12th century. Since then it acquired various architectural jewels through the centuries, notably on its façade and staircase. This hotel offers 18 tastefully decorated guestrooms, which have been formerly the chambers of monks and are still adorned with the period furniture. All the guestrooms are equipped with all the modern amenities like safe, mini-bar, satellite and cable TV and internet access. Furthermore non-smoking rooms and an attentive room service are available for the guest’s convenience. Guests can enjoy delicious cuisine and wine from the region, in front of the fireplace in winter and on the veranda in summer, looking onto the legendary Beaugency Bridge. During leisure, guests can hire bikes and discover the marvellous region or play some tennis, on a court, which is 300 m away.
