The original Hotel Flora was opened in 1881, and belonged to the family of art gardener Vaclav Skalnik (this the name Flora). Vaclav Skalnik was the founder of spa parks. His work is admired by all visitors to the town even today. He also became a Mayor of Marianske Lazne (Marienbad). Before World War 1, the Flora Hotel belonged to some of the most luxurious hotels in the town and was particularly sought out by the Russian aristocrazy. The hotel has ideal placement in the centre of the spa quarter near colonnade and in the close vicinity of curing springs. The Flora offers a three-star category standard in 69 double rooms.
