Hotel Carol is an oasis of peace, where you can enjoy a well-earned rest after a day’s sightseeing in the beautiful city of Prague. The hotel offers a range of facilities, including a restaurant, a bar, an outdoor terrace, a swimming pool, a sauna and a secure, covered carpark behind the hotel.Free Wifi is available throughout the hotel, and all rooms also feature free LAN internet connections. A shared computer is available for guests on the reading table in our welcoming lobby.Hotel Carol's stunning façade dates from around 1890; behind it, you’ll find every modern comfort. In April 2012, 40 rooms in the oldest section of the hotel were refurbished with stylish new interiors. The whole hotel now offers four-star quality at three-star prices. Hotel Carol is situated on a quiet street just outside the busy city centre. It's 250 metres from the Ceskomoravska metro station. From there, it’s an eight-minute metro ride to the city centre. Just 100 metres from the hotel you can also catch a tram into central Prague every 10 minutes. For cars and buses, it’s a 10-minute journey along Sokolovska Street straight into the centre.Hotel Carol is based in an historic building complex in the Liben district, part of Prague’s 9th arrondissement. This 19th century district has been transformed since the revolution of 1989: former factories and courtyards have been restored and redesigned, while modern businesses, shopping malls and luxury apartments have sprung up.The brand new Gallerie Harfa (link) is less than 300 metres from the hotel. You’ll find more than 160 shops there, offering a wide range of fashion, sports gear, books and electronics. The mall also includes a cinema, food court and supermarket. In the autumn and winter it features an ice-skating rink, while in the spring and summer you can visit a dinopark. Up on the roof you'll find a sprawling terrace offering fantastic views of the surrounding area. A little further away lies the multipurpose O2 arena (link), a venue for sports and music events. If you'd rather get back to nature, it’s only a few minutes’ walk in the other direction from the hotel to a large park. From the stream, the park slopes up into the hills until you reach the vineyards. There are playgrounds in the park, a climbing centre, lawns, and a bobsleigh track (link) which is open for a large part of the year. At the weekend, don’t miss the Czech Republic’s largest flea market, which is in the same neighbourhood at the hotel along Kolbenova Street.Strolling through Liben you’ll find traces of a distant past, and the green spaces that used to surround this neighbourhood. A new, lively Prague has taken root here too. Staying at Hotel Carol places you at the heart of that contrast between historical Prague and its recent transformation. Business hours of reception: Every day: from 00:00 to 00:00 .
