The hotel Anne D'Anjou - Chateaux et Hotels Collection is located on the Loire River banks, near the historic town centre, beneath the castle which gave immortal fame to the Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry book of hours. This private mansion house was built in the 18th century and still radiates the flair of that time. Some of the guestrooms have retained their original Louis XVI furnishing. Other bedrooms have new furniture and decor, but still reflect the Empire style. The elegant restaurant with a subtle décor combines freestone and antique furniture. The menu and set meals are changed regularly to take full advantage of fresh seasonal produce, and the restaurant’s wine list is well reputed to be one of the most wide-ranging in the Loire valley.
