The “Hotel Altes Forsthaus” is located in the middle of the „National Park Harz”. Situated in one of the oldest building of this region, it offers the service and the amenities of a modern family hotel combined with traditional “Harz architecture”. All rooms provide shower, toilet and TV. In addition we can place cosy family rooms with a separate bedroom for children at your disposal. Non-smoker rooms are available on request. Among our facilities you will also find a restaurant which serves German dishes and a private and free of charge parking lot. In our restaurant you can enjoy excellently prepared regional and seasonal dishes. A real high-light is venison from the “Harz” forests. We shall also be glad to arrange for birthday parties, weddings or similar events. Our lounges provide sufficient capacity for up to 30 people and offer the perfect framework. If requested we can give you advice regarding the menu for your event. Two children up to 14 years accommodate free of charge in their parents´ room. Dogs are welcome and free of charge.
