Hotel Christian IV dates back to 1986. The name of the hotel refers to the Danish King Christian IV, who built the beautiful little palace Rosenborg Castle, located adjacent to the hotel. The premises were meant to link together the 200-year-old houses facing the King's Garden, the Rosenborg Castle and the district's newly developed buildings.
