Overlooking the Knavesmire Common and York Racecourse, the hotel is a grade 2 listed building, which was originally built as a terrace of 3 Georgian Townhouses, with stabling and outhouses, to cater for the wealthy traders who settled in York at that time. We have endeavoured to retain the period feel of the buildings through tasteful furnishings, while at the same time offering all of the comfort and amenities you would expect from a modern hotel.
